Post 1 of 5 ~ Happy BIRTH day to our baby girl!
Four years ago today, we rushed to the hospital with a few minutes to spare. In just two quick pushes and less than 15 minutes since I climbed out of the car, Millie made her arrival! She was so alert. Such a happy, content little one.
Expect to see lots of this girl today...

Millie's 1st Birthday was so fun. We dressed her up, did hundreds of photos, and a smash cake.

Millie's 2nd Birthday was a simple party on our farm. The pictures were in her favorite places...the swing, the yard, and our house. This year she was old enough to open her own gifts. She received a bike and a baby...she loved them both! 2018

Millie's 3rd Birthday was held in the hospital during treatment. The treatment was rough and she was grumpy! She was so mad she could not blow out a candle. We celebrated again after she got home...our happy girl returned!
Post 5 of 5 ~ Happy 4th Birthday Millie!
𝓐𝓶𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓪 𝓙𝓸𝔂 𝓜𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓽, this is the first birthday you have spent in heaven. Your day was probably spent a little differently than ours. While you were celebrating with Jesus, we JOYFULLY remembered past birthdays we had with you.
We remember your first true BIRTH day and what JOY you brought to our family. We remember how on your 1st Birthday you laid your face down in your cupcake and enjoyed every second. Your 2nd Birthday you loved your party hat, bike, baby, and cake. You were not impressed with opening gifts or candles. On your 3rd Birthday you were just starting the most painful cancer treatments of your journey. You were upset at the world, but even so, you were incredibly cute with your pouty, mad face.
We wish we could have seen you today… we would have loved to have shared a piece of cake together. Our hearts long to see you open another gift, squeal with JOY, and enjoy your #4 balloons. However, we know that will not happen so we chose to CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE with a party! Four parties to be exact! Mommy and the kids filled 4 bags of party supplies with everything you need for a BIRTHDAY PARTY! Balloon, gift, plates, forks, party hats, noise makers, and a card asking the recipient to “Please help us Celebrate Millie’s 4th Birthday” and “ENJOY!”. We paired these bags with a mini cake to make the party grand. In addition, we were able to treat the 10 W Nurses to some birthday cupcakes… We hope they enjoyed them!
While it is not the party we wanted to have, we choose 𝕁𝕆𝕐 through the tears! We choose 𝕊𝕄𝕀𝕃𝔼𝕊 even in our sorrow. We choose 𝔾ℝ𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕌𝔻𝔼 for our memories. We choose to share the 𝔾𝕆𝕆𝔻ℕ𝔼𝕊𝕊 of JESUS!
