Some of my friends can relate, others have years until this happens to your family.
Say a little prayer for this mama's heart tonight. So many WONDERFUL things are happening...so many firsts...but to get there so many lasts have to happen first.
The last time my son sleeps in his bed, in the room he has shared with his brother for 18 yrs. The last time we eat a family meal as a mom and dad still raising our children. The last time he uses his "cup" or "towel". The last time for so many things. After Saturday his new life has begun.
I still remember so many of the first times. Birth, potty training, shooting a gun, driving a car. The stories we could tell.
Did we prepare him well?
Did we do all we could as parents to help him succeed?
To be a good husband and some day a father?
This mama's eyes are leaking, her voice cracking, and her joy filled heart is hurting. It's funny how life can be so good yet hurt so much too.
It's almost wedding day!
Throw back picture to a really good day in our lives. A day of GREAT JOY! A day our family gained a new daughter. A day tears were shed, but they were tears of excitement and expectation for the future.
Joseph made an excellent choice when he chose Maitland. I can say now over 3 years later, yes he was prepared. I’m so proud of them both. I just love our family
